Aksel Tarselein is a Weaponsmaster at the Sunsguard officer training academy in Karse around the time of the Reign of Sendar. He provided inspiration and mentoring to the young Alberich before Alberich was Chosen. He also maintained friendly connections with members of the Mercenary Guild that later proved significant in providing Valdemar with the knowledge that the Sunpriests had hired the entire Tedrel nation for the conflict that became the Tedrel Wars.
