Athelnor is the Steward of Sandbriar, and was a cousin to its former lord. He is married to Marga, the keep Chatelaine. He lost his son along with his lord, in the Tedrel Wars, and his daughter-in-law died soon after. Now he and Marga are raising their orphaned grandson, Gareth.
Before Lady Cera's arrival, it was all he and Marga could do to manage the sums Lord Sinmonkelrath demanded, while keeping the people fed. Cera changed all that, much to their delight.
