Darthela is the bride of Sir Skolte of Fromish. She was raised in Lythecare, the sixth of seven daughters. Her father was very happy to find her a husband who would accept trade considerations in place of the more usual dowry.
Darthela is a pretty, coquettish young woman, who is clearly disappointed in having an older, balding husband. However, Sir Skolte is a clever man. He hired Tarma and Kethry to escort his bride to her new home in Fromish, rather than male bodyguards. He also mentioned that his servants are all uglier than he is. Tarman and Kethry volunteered to help him by telling tales around the campfire at night. In particular, Tarma mentioned "Bloody Carthar's Fourteen Wives" and "Meralis and the Werebeast."
