Author Fiona Patton has contributed multiple short stories to The Valdemar Anthology series, as well as to other Mercedes Lackey anthologies.

"Fiona Patton is a Canadian fantasy author. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Patton moved to the United States in 1966. In 1975, she returned to Canada with her family, settling in Toronto.

"In 1992, she moved with partner Tanya Huff to rural Ontario. She currently works as a counselor for the developmentally handicapped."
