Hartrise, in Valdemar, was the home village of the Healer Vixen. Though it was on her circuit, the village was big enough to have its own Healer, leaving Vixen feeling justified in avoiding the place--and her bad memories of growing u there. She did finally return after teaming up on the circuit with Herald-Mage Vanyel, who was required to visit the town. Fortunately for her peace of mind, no one from her childhood seemed to recognize Vixen, who had a different name as a child.
The people of Kettleford took their goods to Hartrise to trade, so they could stay abreast of market values.
