In the first story, Healer Serril learns about a medical condition connected to the return of magic to Valdemar. The next story occurs years before, when Serrill connects with a family of performers who are unrelated by blood - they have chosen each other. Chronology[]
The first story happens when Elspeth returns from the Tayledras in 1405 AF (Winds of Fury.) Jayin is about to get her Greens. However, the next and subsequent stories begin years before, when Serril discovers Jayin and gets her into the Healers' Collegium. New stories should be examined for indicators.
