A Healing-Mage is not simply a mage, able to use the standard forms of magical energy, he or she is also a Healer on a tremendous scale. The Tayledras were charged by the Star-Eyed with cleansing the land that was warped by the energy of the Cataclysm, making it safe for human habitation, and protecting mage-created creatures from human exploitation. Their Healing-Mages undertake the land-cleansing portion of this mission. In addition they can also use their Gift to heal injured spirits that would leave a Mindhealer at a loss.
