Chronology (Warning! SPOILERS!)

Story 0.5, the prequel, occurs at an unspecified time, years before Karse ends persecution of the Gifted. Fidesa's daughter is 10 years old.

Story 1.0 is at an undefined year close to the end of that persecution. Fidesa's granddaughter Mirideh is 12 years old, so the prequel is 20 or more years after story 0.5 (if Mirideh's mother was 18 or more when she gave birth.) Herald Rinton is on "one of" his first solo Circuits, after his internship. He might be 19-21 years old.

Story 2.0 is the first chronologically specific story. It occurs exactly when the spirit of Vanyel returns magic to Haven, when Princess Elspeth is still with the Tayledras. That happens in winter of 1404 AF - 1405 AF. Mirideh has finished her coursework at the Healers' Collegium and Linx says she is ready to be a full Healer.

Story 3.0 occurs a few months after that; Rinton's Mage-Gift was brought out by the return of magic, and he is training in Weather-Working to dispel the weather caused by Ancar's mages. Ancar is expected to strike soon. In this story we learn that Rinton was Chosen 10 years ago, when he was 14. That means he is 24 now. If he was 19 on his early solo Circuit 5 years ago when he met Mirideh in story 1, knowing he was Chosen at age 14 means he got 4 years at the Collegium before his internship began when he was 18. Mirideh has finished her course work now, and having 5 years of coursework makes her 17. (It is unlikely for her to be 18, with 6 years training - Rinton would have been 18 when they met, graduated at 17, and because he was Chosen at age 14 he would have had only 3 years at the Collegium. If they met when he was 20, 4 years ago, she would be graduating at 16.) Summary:

• 20+ years before 1404 AF Mirideh's grandmother is required to permanently disguise herself as male to serve as the village Sunpriest.
• 10 years before 1404 AF Rinton is Chosen.
• 6 years before 1404 AF Four years later, Rinton graduates from the Collegium and begins his internship.
• 5 years before 1404 AF A year later, Rinton has finished his internship and is working solo. He rescues Mirideh from Karse.
• 1404 AF - 1405 AF, Winter Rinton's Mage Gift is brought out when the Haven heartstone is activated. Mirideh has just visited her grandmother due to peace with Karse.
• 1405 AF, Spring Rinton is 24 when he is training his weather working magic.
