Chronology (Warning! SPOILERS!)[]

The miniseries takes place well after the Mage Storms, without other date specifics.

The early stories give no date indicators. In story one when they meet, Nwah is fifteen and she thinks Kade is ten. Story two happens two years after the first story; Kade is fourteen and his Gift seems to be fading. In story three, they have been together five years - nearly six. Nwah meets some male kyree; she and Kade agree to leave the Pelagirs and head for Oris. Story four happens five years after the first story. In story six there is a plot "from Ancar" - story seven expands this, saying that the plot originated from "resistance fighters from old Hardorn." Story nine reveals that the "resistance" hopes to topple King Tremane in Shonar, move Hardorn's capital back to Crown City, and restore Hardorn to the days of the deceased Ancar.

The reign of King Tremane places the entire miniseries after the Mage Storms. It doesn't begin "soon" after, as there are no encounters with a Changecircle or a Changebeast, even in the forests. All magic was disrupted and diffused by the Storms,[1] so the presence of useful Ley-Lines everywhere they travel is an anachronism.
