Herald-Mage Lancir was the Queen's Own Herald for Elspeth the Peacemaker. He was a contemporary of both the Queen and Herald-Mage Savil, and was showing his age by the time he appeared in The Last Herald-Mage series.
He passed away sometime between Magic's Pawn (volume 1) and Magic's Promise (volume 2).
