Sandbriar is a holding in Valdemar on the borders of Rethwellan and Karse. It is not rich farming land, but is good country for sheep.[1] Sandbriar is so large it takes three days in a carriage to travel from the boundary to Sandbriar Manor.[2]
The holding lost its noble family, as well as many men and livestock, to the Tedrel Wars. Afterwards, the holding was granted to Lord Sinmonkelrath, one of Prince Karathanelan's Rethwellan followers. He never visited, only demanding a steady income to supply his wants at Court. Following his death, his widow Cera took control.
Lady Cera moved to Sandbriar and immediately began setting things to rights. As the daughter of a wool merchant, she has a practical outlook and extensive knowledge of both sheep and trade.
