The Silence Breakers are a group of dark mages on the rise in Rethwellan. They wear silver belt buckles which are Fetched away after their deaths, and carry "thorns," black daggers with pieces of curved, polished black horn for the grip.
Quenten investigated them on his own, but eventually sent his apprentice Teralyn to the Mage Council of Valdemar with the information he had, and a thorn they had recovered.
Quenten believes the name "Silence Breakers" may be a reference to Urtho the Mage of Silence.
