From Goodreads:
Stephanie Diane Shaver is an American fantasy writer and game developer. She sold her first professional short story to Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword and Sorceress series when she was 13. Her work has also been featured in various Valdemar anthologies, edited by Mercedes Lackey. She is an active member of Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA), the youngest member to ever join the association, and has also been a member of the Authors Guild.
Stephanie worked for Blizzard for ten years, and is now employed at Wizards of the Coast. Her website blog sometimes includes notes on stories. For example, The Maralud Comes A-Knocking figure is based on a real-life folk custom, the Mari Lwyd (see the wikipedia article ↗️), and the "Good Intentions" story springs from a horror in real-life, the Sankebetsu bear incident (see the wikipedia article ↗️).
