Velgarth is the world in which The Heralds of Valdemar series takes place. The name of the world Velgarth first appeared in the novel Arrow's Flight. As with any fantasy world, certain conventions regarding the setting hold true throughout the series.
Major nations appearing in the novels include Valdemar, Hardorn, Karse, Rethwellan, Ruvan, and Jkatha. The Pelagirs and the Dhorisha Plains are also significant. Iftel is often mentioned but never seen.
The Map of Velgarth by Larry Dixon was published in The Valdemar Companion. A color poster was formerly sold by Firebird Arts. A new color poster, along with a digital version, has been offered by the Kickstarter campaign.
